Your first thought may be that this domain name is something nasty, but it's really not. Here is what Wikipedia says about the word hyponastic:

"The hyponastic response is an upward bending of leaves or other plant parts, resulting from growth of the lower side."

The plant movement comes from something in the enviroment, but unlike when plants turn to the sun, the direction of the movement is not dependent on the direction of what is causing it.
